Hey yall,

It´s been a while since i´ve updated on this. but yeah, i made it to paraguay. i have been living here for just about 6 weeks. I think once i got here, i was pretty awkward and had no idea what anyone was saying to me. but i made it this far. i have times when my spanish is on point and i can communicate real well and then i have other days where i don´t understand anything being said. i´m having one of those days today where i don´t understand much.

i´m pretty sure i have the coolest host family. they have really taken me in. i have a sister, in her teens, a brother, who is a preteen and mom and dad. cool fam. we eat all of our meals together and spend a lot of time hanging out drinking terere, an herbal drink that we drink cold.

Right now, i am going through an intensive training program that is exhausting but necessary so that i am ready for the field. we have spanish class in the morning and technical trainings in the afternoon. its very very exhausting especially when its super hot outside. it gets too hot to even think sometimes. but its a lot of fun.

right now i´m in asuncion to do my long field practice with three of my co-trainees. we get to practice a little of what we learned but its like on-the-job training.

OK, we´re about to go eat lunch so im gone have to write on here later and keep up with it. miss all my friends and family back home in naptown. i hope some of u get a chance to visit me. its beautiful down here.
